Guest guest
Wow, still is still all very new to me. So Aricept wakens up the brain, so logically it should be given in the morning. I plan to do that 1st thing tommorow morning. But the Namenda why is it not recommended to be given after 3pm?? Do you know??? I am willing to try anthing to get a full night sleep, since that seems to be the biggest issue right now. Now I been tempted to sneek in a Tylenol PM or any other sleeping pill to help her sleep at night. Any suggestions?? dawgg4456 wrote: ---Hi Holly, My mom is on the Namenda seroquel and aricept also. You know though, and I think June from here in the group told me this, the aricept is much better for mom if I give it to her in the morning instead of night time.My dr told me to try night and it didnt work very good at all and June from here in the group said morning and its much better for moms sake..Good luck to you and my very best to you and your Gramma. Guest guest
Dear Holly - I've been reading messages backwards, and hadn't seen several earlier ones from you. I'm about to leave work - and thus the computer, but could I mention a few more things tonight? Of course you need to sleep - and so does your grandmother. New and different meds may help - or could as easily backfire. I think it was 's mom who could not tolerate many meds, and my own mom got " crazier " whenever we added a med - including aspirin or even so-called " safe " sleeping pills. I noticed your grandma was just diagnosed last week. Did the doc start all these meds then? Has he been her doc a while . . . and does he have experience with LBD? Whereabouts are you located: large city, town, non-US? Mom - and I - went through months of the kind of nights you've described, so I truly sympathize. I hope it's a peaceful night at your end. And if you want to talk tomorrow,we'll all be here. Lin Holly Castaneda wrote: Wow, still is still all very new to me. So Aricept wakens up the brain, so logically it should be given in the morning. Guest guest
<snip> Now I been tempted to sneek in a Tylenol PM or any other sleeping pill to help her sleep at night.<snip> Don't do that. Tylenol PM (not regular Tylenol) is one of the BAD meds for the elderly...
