I thought I should catch you up to Jim's night in ER, since Sharon asked for

information for me about

Albuterol. It was a looooooong, loooooooooong, night as usual in ER. I brought

Jim in because I thought

maybe he had Pneumonia or a respiratory infection. He has had really bad

congestion and has been very lethargic and I had the nurses at the nh listen

with a stethoscope and they heard congestion in his lungs, so I requested at the

nh for a chest x-ray, but the request was denied at the nh by the doctor,

because Jim did not have a fever nor was he coughing badly enough, which he had

neither of the last time he had Pneumonia and I brought him to ER.

So, when he came home for the weekend, I brought him to ER to be tested. The

doctor there heard the

congestion too and they took a chest x-ray and gave Jim a nebulizer with

Albuterol while they were waiting for

all the tests to process through. I couldn't remember if Albuterol had any side

effects for LBD, so I messaged Sharon

and she got back to me. Thank you to all that got an answer to her.

It turned out that Jim was clear of Pneumonia or a respiratory infection. He has

a bad cold, but he did

have a UTI. I was totally unaware of that and I almost always can tell, because

Jim is very combative

and and more confused than usual when he has a UTI, but with the cold, he was

very drowsy and it took the punch out

of him I guess to be combative and since he was always sleeping a lot, I didn't

hear his extreme confusion, more than his usual, that always comes along with a

UTI for him. So, I was happy that we did go to ER after all and have that UTI

discovered, so that could get taken care of.

Stay well and Stay Strong...........................Jan

Hi, Jan,

I am so glad you got things straightened out for Jim, and, as always,

before the doctors. I know you are exhausted after the incredibly long time in

the ER. Put your feet up tonight, and have a Lemon Drop!

Love and hugs,

Piper

As always, your one step ahead of " Lewy " -- good for you!! Sorry you

had to deal with the ER - that's no fun - but glad your instinct got

Jim there to identify another UTI... Will keep you two in my prayers.

Jan,

Glad to hear you found the UTI. And also it is good to he doesn't have any more

of problem than lung congestion. Sorry you had to spend part of the weekend in

the hospital. As usual you catch it faster than the MDs.

Hi Jan

So happy to hear that Jim did not have pneumonia. I

had been praying for you both. And glad you went when

you did since he does have yet another UTI! Poor guy.

He has had so many things. You are so intuitive Jan.

You always seem to know when something is wrong. Your

love for him shines though with every post you make.

You are a true angel to him.
