My 4 yr old who was on Miralax for almost a year always complained of knee pain.

I never even thought of that connection. I just thought PEG had affected her

behavior! Sure enough she hasn't complained once of it since going off cold

turkey in Jan.

For fish oil we get Barleans Omega swirl. They come in yummy flavors like peach

mango and lemon. Kids (and adults) love the taste!

We've also used Kids Calm, calcium/magnesium supplements, probiotics, goji berry

juice, vitamin c and plumsmart plum juice. Kiwi fruit work wonders for my

daughter, along with mango, blueberries, squash, prunes & raisens. We also went

completely milk/dairy-free. Although once in a while we had to give a square of

ex-lax (senna) if she went too long, or do a suppository, but those were very

traumatic.

We are still having problems with her fully emptying. So I'm not sure if she has

ilieus or if there are other hidden causes. So now she is on lactulose for 2

months before they will look into it more. I think there is a big emotional

component for her too. When she is going through stressful times her pooping is

not good. So I'm trying hard to keep her " love tank " full, so to speak, too.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for sharing Sara Jane, glad you found us! How did you make the connection of the bone pain? Just wondering where you found it, along with the ileus. Just trying to keep track of what works and where people are reading and not reading the info so we can continue to post things in those areas. http://www.barleans.com/omega_swirl.asp what does the group think of this product? How do you give it? My dd is extremely picky and if she knows it's fish oil, she freaks!Everyone talks about nordic naturals being the most pure, I can't figure out what to put it in? She refuses...........jeanie To: miralax Sent: Sat, April 14, 2012 8:59:00 PMSubject: Re: New to group & knee pain

I'm not new, I've posted before. Joined group in January. I was just replying to

someone else's post who is new here and mentioned joint pain which made the

light go off for me. I must not have hit " reply with history " !

For the fish oil we just take it straight from the teaspoon. Its so good my

(also picky) daughter begs for more every day! I know lots of people locally who

love it. Its not oily like Carlson fish oil, its more like a creamy smoothie. A

Barleans rep said you can even keep it in the freezer for an icy treat.
