Guest guest
The problem associated with computers is what kind to get if you are having problems. The European community has been very good on limiting PBDEs and therefore have been out of circulation in a lot of products in Europe. The United States have been slow to jump on the bandwagon. I would recommend you look at this site before investing in a financial expense like a computer. Do more research on what the companies claim about their computers containing PBDEs. I did the research earlier last year and can not seem to find it right now...this is a good place to start. http://www.toxicfreelegacy.org/pbdes/companies.html Also for your information, the EPA and the ASTDR have released alot of information on PBDEs and how they build up in tissue. Since many of us have a detox problem, it may be something worthwhile to read up on. http://www.iceh.org/pdfs/LDDI/PracPrevention/PBDEs.pdf http://www.toxicfreelegacy.org/pbdes/facts/PBDEsandHealth.pdf http://www.epa.gov/oppt/pbde/pubs/proj-plan32906a.pdf http://www.epa.gov/region09/childhealth/pbde.html http://www.oehha.org/pdf/PBDEWrkgrpRptFeb06.pdf (I have a hard time associating computer related illness with mold considering that mold needs humidity(ie. moisture) to grow -- the electronics and the heat from the components would have the opposite effect in reducing the humidity in the computer. Therefore, it probably is associated with another cause --- I have been told PBDEs from a reputable source because I had the same problem,,,it made the burning in my legs so severe at one time I could not sit at it for more than an hour not to mention the fatigue--and the computer is my life. Considering you have issues -- you may have a volatile organic problem.)
