Guest guest Posted September 15, 1999 Report Share Posted September 15, 1999 pt is having pain around the site of parietal skull fracture...doc says: Neuroimaging Studies: CT of the head without contrast performed September 10, 1999, was reviewed. This shows mild concavity of the right parietal s/l cavarean with no bony fractures. There is no hemorrhage or soft tissue seen. (Even though, according to Dorland's, calvarium is an " incorrect form for calvaria " , I frequently come across calvarium.) calvarium = incorrect form for calvaria. calvaria = 1. [NA] the domelike superior portion of the cranium, derived from the membranous neurocranium and consisting of the frontal and parietal bones and the squamous parts of the occipital and temporal bones.
