A case we first told you about back in 2005 is now going to trial in

civil court.

The on family claims a negligent builder caused a toxic mold

buildup in their Central Point home.

The family says faulty installation of a water pipe and a dryer vent

caused mold to grow inside the walls.

Various attempts to solve the problem outside of court failed.

In opening statements today, the on's attorney said the family

bought the home in good faith.

But the defense said the ons are responsible for the mold.

The ons will testify that they thought they were buying a new

home and that it would be free from problems and wouldn't need any

repairs or upgrades.

Mr. on tells Mr. Alaqua when describing the leak that's coming

from the recirculation system, " I broke it when I dropped a box on

the pump. "

The trial is expected to last several days.
