Another plea from me: I don't constantly denigrate the low-carb WOE or any

other WOE that list members discuss and say works for them. I would appreciate

it if people would please refrain from comments such as this. I'm REALLY getting

tired of them!

Re: QUESTION OF PERCENTS

Susie, I think the diet we experience might be called the feedlot diet.

One fellow compared the ADA diet to the contents of his feedsack, the

proportions were the same as those to fatten animals. Sam

Teri, it is you that interpreted the comments as being low carb, it was not

mentioned. Seems to me you read things that others do not. Sam

Sam, read my entire comment. I said " low-carb or any other WOE. "

It's like politics. I'd rather hear the positives of what works for you instead

of the negatives of the methods that don't work for you or the ones you don't

like.

Teri, I'm not sure what you expect, discuss needles and shots and pills?

Meters and lancets? What do you think, we can't talk about WOE? I think

that isa basic to solving diabetic problems. I see no possibility of

improvement without an alteration of diet. I see too many go the pill

only route, and it seems to me that insulin use is the last straw. I got

off insulin to oral, went back on insulin due to failure to change my

diet. I changed my diet, went back on oral, now on diet only. And we

are not to mention WOE or diet?

Tell us how you take care of yourself. Sam

Sam, you're missing the whole point. The point is negativity and just plain lack

of respect. Actually, I'd email you on this, but you don't answer me when I

email you. Here's the comment you relayed that started this discussion:

" I think the diet we experience might be called the feedlot diet. One

fellow compared the ADA diet to the contents of his feedsack, the proportions

were the same as those to fatten animals. "

No, I'm NOT saying don't discuss WOE. I'm saying speak positively about what

works well for you instead of making sweeping negative statements about other

WOE's.

Is that too much to ask?
