Here most of the CBSE/ICSE and State Board schools have been served legal

notice (show cause) by the Collector of Jabalpur asking why their

CBSE/ISCE/MP Board affiliation should not be terminated for not

implementing the quota for poor children in this new session starting April

2012.

I hear now they have made it compulsory for builders too, those building

apartments to have 25% of the residential area reserved for BPL families

(those who don't know BPL - Below poverty line, a card issued by the SDM of

Jabalpur, likewise any other city in India).

Sad how things are progressing in India.

I know a few people might support this move, but I for one am against

reservation of any kind in any field.

Right and Left to Education

Mrs. Sharma mopped her brow and slammed the card face down and shouted

triumphantly, " Rummy! "

Beaming at her fellow Kitty party ladies, Mrs. Sharma smiled and said, " What

a boon this right to Education bill has been to us! I mean, before this, we

used to struggle to get our son, Yuvraj, ready for school. Now it's so easy.

Our servant's son Ramu studies in the same school, so he manages to get him

ready while getting ready himself. Actually Sharmaji managed to pull some

strings and got Ramu admission in the same school. Now I don't even have to

bother with his homework. After school, both of them study together. "

Mrs. Bhatia puffed her nostrils and said, " But Mrs. Sharma, doesn't it look

bad when Yuvraj and Ramu travel together? "

" Not at all! Ramu carries both their bags. In fact Yuvraj is very happy.

Ramu even writes his homework for him. "

Mrs. Relwani puckered her lips and interjected, " But Mrs. Sharma, with 25%

seats reserved for the poorer section, won't Yuvraj face problems getting

admission for higher education? Now there will be even less seats. "

Mrs. Sharma looked disdainfully at the hapless Mrs. Relwani, " In fact it has

certificate for Yuvraj. As it is he scores poorly in his exams, so he is

actually entitled to that 25% reservation for the poor. In fact, earlier

Nice one.RTE or any such rules can only be exploited by ones who can pull

strings. And Ramu has always to carry that bag ?It is similar to BPL card story.

It is the system where everybody gets educated ! . No marks are given , only

grades are given. No body fails, hence no body studies but every body gets

educated.opg
