Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I am fortunate that the hearing on my remaining side has deteriorated slowly, but it has now reached a level below my present hearing aid ( I have approximately 25% hearing remaining). I am hoping you will share your experiences with your hearing aids with me, past and /or present. I have never had a T-switch. I placed the phone receiver to prevent feedback. I have been told it will be hard to stop feedback with a more powerful aid and I should get one with a T-switch for this would offer other possible benefits, use with other equipment at some conferences, groups etc. I am hoping you will give me information to help me decide which type of aid I should choose to perhaps help me along till I am deaf. I am hoping for one fairly easy to adjust in volume, etc. for I have some complications with feeling gauges, etc. This is not severe but quite cumbersome. Of course this would be secondary to quality of hearing offered. I am very interested in your knowledge and experiences when you wore an aid or perhaps are wearing one now. Apparently some have remotes for setting volumn, all sorts of accessories that I never heard of 9 years ago. I don't really know what questions to ask and am not receiving many answers to the ones I do. The best of info is by word of mouth. Not good when I don't hear what is being said and no one is willing to help. Although they don't seem to have answers anyway. We found some info on the computer, but opinions from you would be a great help as well, as opposed to that of a hearing salesperson. Please Help....
