Hello!

Since my last post I have had several people ask me where to find a good

Interventional Cardiologist. An Interventional Cardiologist works with minimally

invasive procedures in a Cath lab to treat the heart. My PFO/ASD closure is a

good example of that kind of procedure.

I have a  very good friend, PHD in molecular biology,  who works with some of

the top Interventional Cardiologists in the country and overseas. I thought that

I would call in a favor and see if he would give me a list of the best  ICs

across the country. He said he would but he needed more information and was

willing to bring up our concerns to a few of them to make sure he has

accumulated the appropriate list. He asked me for more information.

He knows that PFO/ASD closure is a concern because of mine.

I am asking you for concerns that you have that you feel like you are getting

the run around on. Maybe you need a procedure but you don't know who to

trust..... we all know that trust for us is hard since we have all been through

the wringer! :)

This isn't about giving diagnosis' or second guessing anyone.

Also, I know that my brainstem irritation is responsible for a lot of my heart

palpitaions. A cardiologist can not fix this. Mine recognizes that I have Chiari

and that ACM maybe responsible for heart symptoms that are beyond his control.

We work together and he has willingly communicated with my neurosurgeon.

Good Luck to everyone!
