This is a wonderful forward which touched my heart:

Doctor, How much do you make?

Somebody asked, " You are a doctor? So how much do you make? "

I replied, " How much do I make.....? "

I can make holding your hand seem like the most important thing in the

world, when you are scared....

I can make your child breathe when it stops....

I can make your father survive a heart attack...

I can make myself get up at 4 am to make sure your mother has medicine she

needs to stay alive and healthy..... and I can make myself stay awake

straight through until the next 4 am to keep her alive and start the day all

over again....

I can make time to work for strangers and save their lives.....

I can make time to drop everything in an emergency trying to keep you

alive....

I can make my family wait for dinner until I am sure that your family member

is well taken care of.....

I can even skip lunch so that I can make sure that everything I did for your

wife today was correct....

I can work weekends and holidays and all through the night because people

don't get sick only during office hours and weekdays....

Today, I can even save your life...

How much do I make?

All I know is that I make a difference!
