Guest guest
Thanks a lot for your reply! But my question is how can I know if that is what is making me ill, is there a test or something? I have lived in a different place for more than year and I was still the same ill, so whatever it is is inside me. Is there a test if you have mold disease? > > > > Hello, > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. I have thought of everything > > and tried everything. Guest guest
Hi , Most of the time toxic mold breeds in an environment in dark places where no sunlight can reach it and a constant water source. Like inbetween walls with a leaky pipe or crawl spaces, basements, attics. Since your really sick I think it would be worth it to call a local mold tester to come out and do some extensive testing of your home. Some testers even have some sophisticated equipment to detect moisture behind a wall, assuming ofcourse you can not see any mold with the naked eye. Does your home or workplace have any old water leaks? Check it out and God Bless you Elias cbn97es <cbn97@...> wrote: Hello, I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Nobody knows exactly what I have so I'm diagnosed with depression, anxiety, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Dysautonomia, etc. And I may agree with that but the question is that I also have awful respiratory disease that doctors can't see or treat for over 15 years. My nose, sinuses and lungs burn and hurt 24 hours a day and nothing helps. I feel really sick from it to the point that disables me more than the rest of diagnosis or illneses. I have always lived in an old big and dark apartment which smells like old, dusty and even moldy, has lots of carpets, wall paper, wooden floor with lots of holes between the woods, it has lots of old books old furniture and some rooms have this old style " Luxurious " clothe in the walls instead of paint or paper. So, the house could be having mold but I don't see it. My nose and sinuses and lungs are so damaged that I can't smell but people say it smells like old and a bit damp. As I said before, I have visited a thousand respiratory specialists, nose, ear and thorat specialists, allergy doctors, internists, neurologists... they diagnose: " hypersensitivity and hyperreactivity " or " vasomotor " rhinitis, but not allergy or infection or anything. I can't have that because my lungs and sinuses are awfully ill with non stop mucus, phlegms, dryness and pain like hell. Guest guest
Go see Dr. Richie Shoemaker or Dr. Gray for a diagnosis and treatment. You may see another " thousand " Dr's and sadly they will side with " The Lie " that the " Industry " so ademantly protects. Until all the Dr's realize that they've been duped and are being laughed at, that " Lie " will continue to protect the arrogant, egotistical, heartless uncompassionate, careless, reckless, powertrip-money-hungry- mongers, that they are! > > Hello, > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Guest guest
Excuse me but I don't understand what you mean. I have heard the same in every different " controversial " disease I have investigated. But I still don't see what benefit do normal doctors have by denying its existance. What I clearly see is the benefit of all those alternative doctors who live out of them. I was asking for a medical test or diagnosis. Many people have lived in this apartment for 30 years and nobody got ill but me. Besides I remain ill if I live somewhere else. What I am asking is if there is a test to see if you have mold disease and it goes with you wherever you go, not these alternative scams from scam doctors and scam labs. > > > > Hello, > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Have you ever felt any relief or improvement on a long vacation, say? That's how I knew my house was sick. I was just better outside. Everyone here is going to tell you the same thing-move! But it's just not that easy-so if you can make yourself a safe room in your home (insulate, run air cleaners, etc) that could be a start. Guest guest
A great source of information about mold illness is Dr. Shoemaker's newest website at http://www.biotoxin.info/ Dr. S. has developed a test called the BIRS that you can take online for $14.95. You can read more about it if you click on the " Testing " tab of his site. The BIRS test combines symptoms + VCS test results and indicates a biotoxin illness with a high degree of accuracy. It is meant to be a screening tool. Much more about mold illness (and other biotoxin illnesses) is available on this website, including extremely informative webcasts from Dr. S. himself! > > Thanks a lot for your reply! I have heard the same in every different " controversial " disease I have investigated. " cbn, Excuse me, but I don't understand what you mean or are implying. Are you saying that many of these symptoms that patients are experiencing are controversial? And what other diseases have you investigated that are controversail? Show me the research that you base these statements on. Are you also implying that Dr.Shoemaker and Dr.Gray, their diagnoses, treatment and protocols they use are scams? If so explain. At the same time who are you representing? You are speaking of two of the leading environmental physicians in the country that are well informed of mycotoxin exposure of WDB's. The labs that they use are used by hospitals, doctors, etc., from all over the country. I'll be waiting for your response. Guest guest
I can't be any more clear.... Go see Dr. Richie Shoemaker or Dr. Gray....Yes, there are tests and either one will be able to sort out your " illness " they are both Great MD.'s and deal with " Sick Building " victims on a daily basis. They are honest caring and compassionate. And if it turns out you are ill due to some other cause, your chances of getting an answer from either one of them are greater than bouncing from one Dr. to another. :-) > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Guest guest
CBN: Hey Dude, there's no good answer to your question, and I guarantee every one of us on this site has had the SAME question, why the heck can't ask a reg'lar physician to recognize our symptoms and ailments... am gonna tell you there is no rational explanation. Honestly, don't waste your time looking for one if you want to stay sane... Save yourself time and frustration and see the folks who know how to diagnose and what to do about it so you can begin healing. Sometimes you can get your doctor at home to take instruction to someone with experience with what we're working with. I didn't at all get the sense that you were denegrating the doctors mentioned as I see another did. My sense is that like most of us here, you've been using what scientific skills we non-scientists have to deduce what's wrong with us because we have bizarre symptoms that most doctors glaze over about when we describe them. And it doesn't make sense that there is so little accepted information for symptoms that are really, really real. Congratulations - you've joined the club! Dunno if you've got what we've got, but you've been run through the same ringer! ;-) ~Haley cbn97es <cbn97@...> wrote: Excuse me but I don't understand what you mean. Guest guest
Ok, I see, this is the classic forum which is promoting some doctor or products or tests. Classic. Listen, whoever you are, KC and the Sunshine Band. I am speaking by myself and my own experience as a sick person who desperately looks for relief or cure. I don't have to give you any explanations at all, specially when you talk to me with suck manners. Yes, I imply that most of these alternative doctors are scammers. And they exist for hundreds. Most of them are not even doctors, didn't even bother in studying a lot of years of Medicine. Same about the thousands of charlatans and people who simply promote products and therapies for the money. If this Dr.Shoemaker is one of them or not I don't know at all. But you definetely look like someone involved financially if you are the owner of this site. You ask me know many diseas I have investigated, and I'll tell you also how many therapies, treatments and products say the same without knowing. There is someone here who run to say... " YOU HAVE MOLD PROBLEMS " . Bollocks with that and with that kind of people. They are in every forum and every controversial illness or treatment. And for your information, in case that you don't know, which I seriously doubt, I will tell you the list of questionable diseases where people run to say the same as that guy diagnosing me and telling me to spend my money in that questionable doctor: - Mercury intoxication - Heavy metals intoxication - Metal allergies - Hidden allergies to many things - Gluten intolerance - Wheat intolerance - Lactose intolerance - Salicylate intolerance - Celiac disease - Chronic Candidiasis - Chlamydia infection - Mycoplasma infection - 's Syndrome - Hypoglycemia - Hypothyroidsm - Fibromyalgia - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - Dysautonomia - Chemical Sensitivity and Chemical damage - ELectrosensitivity - Root canals disease And the list is endless. Now, my question is still there for those who are not financially involved in this sort of things or get offended like this guy who seems to see enemies for his dollars everywhere. Is this Dr.Shoemaker test something internationally accepted? If so, does it exist in Europe and not online but in person? Apart from that, are there any other tests more accepted by people with the 10 years studies of Medicine to determine if you are sick because of Mold? And in reply to those who were nice to help I answer that indeed I have felt very sick everywhere I have been to, and in these long last 20 years I have been in many places and countries gradually deteriorating. Indeed I feel worse at home but better than if outside is cold or humid. I have extreme reactions to cold and humidity. Thank you again to those without any agenda here. > > > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. I have thought of > > everything > > > > and tried everything. Guest guest
cbn, sorry you are so illm sorry thise thousands of doctors you have seen have not helped you one bit. sorry that you fell that this is all just a scam. guess theres not much help for you in that case but sence you say no one else in the building is ill, maybe you should consider that maybe your illness is of a viral nature, or paracites. of corse you'd still maybe have to consider seeing a environmental doctor. I think any illness is going to suffer even more if your also getting mold exposure too. we talk about advoidance here alot because it's really the first and most important step in tring to fell better. of a rnvironment is makeing you ill you need to not be there, the effects are accumalative even at a low level of chronic exposure. > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Guest guest
, Let me first say that the doctor's on this group have no financial gain, and have the patient's health first and above all. The doctor's that were suggested to you on this board are well known across the country for treating many mold victims and successfully. As far as normal doctors, well my first normal doctor that recognized my illness from mold exposure was my primary care physician, and I also have seen other alternative doctors that have also recognized my illnesses from mold exposure. I don't understand why you would think that normal doctor's, which to me all doctor's are normal, would have any benefit in denying this mold existence as making us ill. As far as scam labs, scam doctors I am appalled at this statement. Do you work, do you get paid for your expertise. These doctors, and these technicians have put many years into their devoted learning and practices to help the sick. It would be the same as if I were to say, what ever profession you are in, that you would be scamming us per say as you say about these doc's and labs. I would suggest you do some more research on the mold issues and illness, research professionals that treat the ill in every disease process, have some testing done in your apartment by a professional, and of course you would want to check them out even with the better business bureau, etc to see if they are out to scam you or help you. Remember, we could say every professional out in this world in every profession are out to scam us, because I know damn well there are many out there in other fields and not in the medical field that do so. Why don't you go see an allergist, and be tested for allergies to mold to start with? Then maybe you might start getting some answers to what ever you are experiencing. Please feel free to respond to every sentence I posted here. As a nurse, I feel that you should try to educate yourself more on the issues at hand. I am also a international mold advocate, free of course, no financial gain. Darlene > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Guest guest
Lets not forget the HLA factor. Genotype!! only 24% of the population have the genes that don't allow your body to detox like the rest of them. So it could be as simple as that. The building I was in housed a lot of different people but only few got sick. Especially me, I'm in the top 4% who <Jeanine660@...> wrote: cbn, sorry you are so illm sorry thise thousands of doctors you have seen have not helped you one bit. sorry that you fell that this is all just a scam. guess theres not much help for you in that case but sence you say no one else in the building is ill, maybe you should consider that maybe your illness is of a viral nature, or paracites. of corse you'd still maybe have to consider seeing a environmental doctor. Guest guest
, YOU were the rude one. " KC and the Sunshine Band " ? " Financially motivated " ?. You have no idea of what you write or how much KC and Sharon have given freely to assist others. You have no idea of the sacrifices they have made over the past 10 years. How many calls they have taken in the middle of the night, how many people they have helped when no one else would. There is no money or advertising support for this website. There is no pay check coming to them to help others....althought there should be. To put it quite bluntly, who in the Hell do you think you are to come on a support board and immediately accuse those from who you seek help of being motivated by financial conflicts of interest? It is no wonder you have wondered lost for all these years. You do not seem to be able to recognize a good thing when you see it. Sincerely, Sharon Kramer In a message dated 3/12/2008 8:33:24 P.M. Guest guest
, Let me first say that yes, there are specific test that can be done. I am not sure what labs you are refering to as scams but when you can take a substance out of your body, culture it and geneticly pinpoint exactly which toxin you are being affected by there is no dispute that you are ill from the toxins set off by mold and/or other chemicals. This is the same as illnesses by chemical warfare which has included agent orange, do you believe that was a sfcam? anthrax, Gulf war syndrome etc. I realize I am nameing other things than mold but there are specific test for all of these. The benafit for doctors you spoke of. Well other than the fact that like all illnesses there is additional learning that has to be done anytime anything is becomeing more and more of a problem, then there are all kinds of political roadblocks, pharmacutical companies so on and so on that keep doctors doing what they do and not change for those reasons alone. Example: My family doctor is quick to say, " I know this is a problemand it makes complete sence that exposure found it mold test done on your living envirenment are makeing you ill. I just don't have the knowledge on how to treat it " I would also like to add that the doctors spoke of here are far from scams and have credentials better than most doctors and peer reviewed documents and all the evidence you need to show or test for why you are ill. Furthermore, why are you so ill for so long. You are here asking questions. That tellls me you don't have those answers. My first thought is man, you are getting scamed. I could spend the time to give you the information you asked for but it seems to me right off the bat you are oposed to the idea anyway. I am not saying it is wrong to question things, you should. But I sence a attitude like most of us do when a doctor knows nothing about this illness does. This tends to put us here or anyone ill from a toxin illness on the deffensive. there are to many people here that will go round and round with you if you are not even willing to concider the idea and do some research yourself. If you did there would be no doubt just as there is no doubt about other illnesses that were once not known about that were later studied and found to be real illnesses. But again out of frustration with your blaintent comments and attitude in your fist posts, I again ask that you then tell me why you are ill. If you have all the answers as to why we are scamed and still ill then lend a helping hand. Tell me why I am sick. Tell me why my brain is partly gone only after being exposed to the toxins from mold. I sure would like these answers cause if I have wasted all this time and money finding out and trying to heal then I would sure like to know. Educate us, otherwise why are you hear asking questions and not be willing to hear the answers offered to you out of the kindness of others hearts. (hearts that have been greatly affected by mold by the way) Chris... cbn97es <cbn97@...> wrote: Excuse me but I don't understand what you mean. What is your personal opinion about this Dr.Shoemaker's online test? I have read so many messages saying it's scam that it's hard to believe. In general when it's one isolated doctor against the whole world with a miracle treatment of his invention, then usually 2+2=4 and it's scam. Guest guest
CBN, hey,I'm not a very trusting person myself at this point but you might want to stop and consider that KC, sho's wife is veru ill from a sick building and is very protective about scammers, ect. and I been here long enough to know theres been a few, than maybe you will realize it's not the thing to do to just come in here and run down the few doctors that are trying to help us. we are in a war to get this illness reconized, it's not like we have nothing better to do dude, everything I once enjoyed has been stolen because of this stupied disease.I can vouch for being really angry about the lack of help from doctors, some that I'm sure had a good Idea, others maybe not, but gee when they can't say the word fungal infection, something that is in all medical books, when they raise their voice at you because you dare to say you disagree with their diagnoses, it becomes clear that they may have a conflict of interest and there could be a few of those.it might be of interest to you that I haven't been to eother of these doctors yet. and I really think you should read the archives for the last few months before makeing such a judgement about this group or the owner. I'm pretty ill myself, I tottally understand your angry but I think you judge to quickly. this is a sick building support group. if you look through the archives you well see that everyone who comes here is looking for a doctor that will help them. you'll see that theres other doctors names posted as people find ones that know enough and care enough to try to help us. I know it's hard when your very ill and disperate for relief but getting rude to a bunch of people who are in the same boat isn't going to go over very well. there are molds that do well in colder weather and humidity. some of the organ damage we suffer makes cold and heat hard for us. > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Guest guest
, First let me start off by saying that I'm sorry that you are ill and hopefully you will find the answers to your questions. But with that said I need to set the record straight on some issues. does not allow any charging for the groups here. KC has no financial interest, as a matter of fact in the 11 years he has dealt with this issue he (we) have used our own monies, time and resources to help others. NEVER has he asked a " moldie " for compensation. The running of this board is 24/7, not to mention the numerous calls and emails from " moldies " which by this time have run well into the thousands. As far as Dr.Shoemaker, Dr.Gray, etc. NONE of them claim to have the silver bullet in treatment. Each one has their own protocol and treatment. Many patients, and a number of them are on here, have gotten better. But we all know that it is a very long road towards getting a bit of our old selfs back. Now concerning Dr.Shoemaker's online test I assume you are referring to the VCS test. This is not of just of his making, as a matter of fact it isn't even a new form of testing. The DOD (many branches of the service) have been using this test for the past 40 years for any type of chemical exposure. So I really wouldn't consider this an alternative form of testing. One big mistake that many " newbies " make (and we've all been there) is that the assumption I'm out of the contaminated building I should be well, why aren't I. Unless you receive the correct treatment, don't take anymore hit (re-exposures) and there is no permenant damage you will continue to stay ill. I've been out of the contaminated building for 8 years now and still have problems, mainly because my system became so poisoned and permanent damage was done to all of my organs. Hopefully this takes care of the situation, Sharon C. > > > > > > Go see Dr. Richie Shoemaker or Dr. Gray for a diagnosis and > > > treatment. Guest guest
Thank you Sharon for your help. Very informative and fair. I remind you, though, that it was this KC who spoke to me with bad manners. FOr the rest, I still don't understand then how can you know that yuou are ill because of that past exposure 8 years ago. In every illness and forum seems to be the same, people seem to be sure of a certain illness without a valid diagnosis and with common symtoms to a million possible illnesses (always with the common feature of anxiety and depression) Thank you very much indeed again > > > > > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Guest guest
CBN, First, my opinion on the VCS test is that it is consistent with my symptems. I don't claim to understand it exactly but in my experience it is a valid earmark, as He would say. He does say there is a possability of false negative results but no chance of a false possative based of the brains ability to see contrast levels when exposed to toxins. As far as the alternative crap at the end of emails and such. That is all put there by , not the group or its moderator. That is the big corps advertising to us as if there is not legitamate medical treatment for this type of illness. cbn97es <cbn97@...> wrote: > CBN: > > Hey Dude, there's no good answer to your question, and I guarantee every one of us on this site has had the SAME question, why the heck can't ask a reg'lar physician to recognize our symptoms and ailments... am gonna tell you there is no rational explanation. Guest guest
Thank you WHO for your reply. Again, I wasn't rude at all, KC was the rude one. Again, I wonder how you know for sure that your illness is due to mold when there is no test. There is a million similar unrecognized illnesses with the same symptoms where you always find a group of people convinced that the illness exists and the doctors are an evil mafia against them and are fighting against the world for its recognition. This looks the same as Candidiasis to me. There is no proof I suspect. > > > > > > Go see Dr. Richie Shoemaker or Dr. Gray for a diagnosis and > > > treatment. Guest guest
, We know this becaue my wife has seen 5 different doctors who specialize in environmental diseases, have had the correct labwork done, have had labwork done checking her levels prior to a re- exposure and just after and there is a direct connection to the elevations. She was exposed to high levels of mold and extremely high levels of bacteria. Her system is now hypersensitive to environmental toxins, whether they be manmade or natural. Most of the people on this board did not jump at the conclusion that mold/mycotoxins made them ill, there were probably many years and many doctors, tests, etc., to rule out other disorders/diseases. Unfortunately this also leads to alot of deadends, financial disaster and emotional distress. Also, why on earth would any of us want to be connected to a condition that is " downplayed " by so many in the medical community. It's much easier to just go along with the symptoms than the actual cause. Through many years of researching her condition and her multiple symptoms it always seemed to come back to Sick Building Syndrome and mold exposure. Then speaking to many of the top professionals and physicians across the country many of the symptoms they spoke of matched her to a tee. No other disease, illness, exposure has even come close. To prove it to myself we ruled out everything else and when you standard bloodwork keeps returning with a negative results is a good sign that other biological/microbial components are involved. Environmental testing by a toxicologist was a great benefit in our situation. KC > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > > > > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. Guest guest
Again, I wonder how you know for sure that your illness is due to > mold when there is no test. well, if it's in a house and you leave and fell better gone than those symptoms come back when you come back. when after your out and practice advoidence for a while than get a wuff of it and it brings back all the symptoms. but this becomes more obvious at high dose exposures that basicly run you out of a place and I gather from what little you said that you syffer from a long term exposure at a lower dose. maybe not even a noticable problem, maybe from books brought in that were already contaminated. does is smell real earthy in there? more like dirt but after a while started causeing sinus infections? did you have bad taste in your mouth? fell dirty, hair fell dirty faster than normal? what were your first symptoms? back pain? dierrhia? I suffered from long term low exposure for many years, it was misserable, than it got toped off with a short term high exposure that about killed me. have you had allergy testing done for molds? at low dose exposures you may not get allergies.just wondering if youve had that testing. and I have to tell you that if it wasn't for the high dise exposure I may have never known what was makeing me ill. theres plenty of testing that can be done. blood can be tested for mycotoxin antigens. IgE,IgA,IgG,IgM for molds. got to break. hang in, your questions cant all be answered at once. There is a million similar unrecognized > illnesses with the same symptoms where you always find a group of > people convinced that the illness exists and the doctors are an evil > mafia against them and are fighting against the world for its > recognition. > > This looks the same as Candidiasis to me. Guest guest
Most of us that have all of these symptoms, recognize the fact that Mold is what we all have in common and can pin-point the time Mold of exposure(s). Most ALL Dr's only recognize Viral or Bacterial infections and will only go so far, just enough to recognize fungal nail problems. They don't have time nor money to waste on something that may take them out of their rhelm. Mold " causes " anxiety, so then here take some pills! Mold " causes " joint pain, so then here take some of these pills. You say you have acid reflux? here take more pills! OOps migraines... must be that darn sinus infection...AGAIN... sneezing and coughing and then choking? Darn Allergies... Teachers head feels like it's going to explode..ohmy... allergy meds to the rescue! But all of these can't possibly be related...nahhh The twitching and the tremors? those are just things some people get. A simple sneeze..oh maybe it's my IMMUNE SYSTEM trying to ward off whatever jumped up into my brain...funny I didn't feel it hit my brain..How many sneezes does it take to DAMAGE the IMMUNE SYSTEM? could it be that simple? You were just at the wrong place at the wrong time when that SPORE decided to fly up your nose! So to answer your Question New Here. Could you have mold problems. The answer is YES > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > > > > > > > I am 42 years old and I am very ill. I have thought of > > > > everything > > > > > > and tried everything.
