NOSTALGIA: THE PATHOLOGY ALUMNI MEET

Remember the time when you were a postgraduate student-walking down the

corridors of the Pathology Department at MGIMS?

- Scurrying from the Clinical OPD to the blood bank.

- Checking if the pink and blue slides in histopathology were in order.

- Sitting late evenings peering through your microscope trying to figure

out the diagnosis of a tough slide before the next day’s reporting.

- Flipping through the glossy pages of Ackerman and wondering if you

could ever read through the whole book just one time before the exams.

- Feeling that adrenalin rush through your veins when you knew that the

next question in the slide seminar was to be directed at you.

- Feeling your nerves tense up knowing you were going to be reprimanded

for a slip-up in your work.

- Gossiping with your friends in the Mahila Mandal canteen.

- And still finding time to catch up with the latest blockbuster in

Rajkala talkies!

Will those days ever return? The whole whirlwind of emotions- learning,

enthusiasm, anxiety, nervousness, camaraderie, fun, frolic- all in one

place! Wouldn’t you like to revisit those emotions and reminisce the days

of the past?

We, at the Pathology Department at MGIMS, are organizing an alumni meet for

our postgraduate students. We would like to invite you to get together and

meet all our Pathology alumni. The programme is scheduled on the *29th and

30th of September 2012 (Saturday & Sunday).* Please block these dates in

your calendars and be here- to meet your teachers, old friends (and foes!)

and relive the glorious days gone by! It will be sheer nostalgia.
