I think that is an oxymoron, Aasawari,

These are periods of fasting and penance, so they cannot be " happy " .

Hi,

Warm Greetings to all for

 Ramadaan,

1st Shravan Somwar,

Nagpanchami - on this day I always remember Shtrughan Sinha's dialogue in

Kalicharan, when he                         is given milk in jail, " Aaj

nagpanchami hai kya? Jo mujhe doodh pila rahe ho " .

btw, do snakes drink the milk or we Indians are wasting a

lot of milk ?

Actually, Dr Sanjay, I had read somewhere that snakes can't digest milk and

can actually die as a result. I really don't know if that's true though.

Thank You Ashok Sir, Renuka di, Parvin Ma'am, Dr. Gupta Sir, Ravin Sir, Kishore

da and others for wishing Ramadan and happy Shravan.............

yes everybody does feast when they break fast during Ramadan............and yes

there are quite a few excesses as is seen these days with most festive or

religious occasions..........

Ramadan and its importance is actually quite enlightening...........somewhat

similar to Shravan when you watch what you eat and pray and fast for better

life...........this is the month of contemplation and search for answers within

yourself...........about your path and the goods and the bads that one

does.............its about giving and being gracious ..........due to which it

is a rather happy time...........and a mesmerizing time..........

so Kishore da it really is no Oxymoron..........

regards

aasawari91

to be or not to be.................... to eat or not to eat......... feast here

I come........
