I'm on 2250mg per day, 850 bkfst, 500 lunch, and 850 dinner. I was told

to take it with meals. When I started, I was started with 500mg once per

day, working up to the doseage I take now.

What was he started with? Maybe too much. If 500mg, some have cut the

pill and split it over a couple of meals.

The distress should stop, but he should also take note of the carbs he

may be stuffing in his mouth, as that can be a gotcha also.

Judy,

My husband started Glucophage 500mg in the morning on an empty stomach and

had terrible diarrhea for hours afterward. After that I had him take it

" after " his lunch, and no problems since then.
