Guest guest
Chris: I generally recommend as follows: 1. Urine tests: Trichothecene, aflatoxins and ochartoxins. If present, then you are spilling mycotoxins. This suggest a colonization. If you have additional symtpoms, e.g. sinusitis, lungs, skin lesion, etc. other tests should then be done. For example: 2. Sinuses and nasal cavity: Long sterile Q-tips taking as much mucous as possible from deep in the nasal cavity. Culture for molds, if positive, then do DNA PCR on the mold growth as well as on the mucous. Sometimes the mold does not grow out. 3. Lungs: Deep early morning sputum: culture, PCR on sputum and mold growth. 4..Skin Lesions: Biopsy, differential stain of microscope slide specimens as mold growth, PCR on mold and biopsy. I trust that this will give you some idea of the versatility of Hooper's and my approach. Jack D.
