Sooooo, not true...............almost half of lyme patiets did not have a tic bite they remember nor did they have the rash. Some of them are as small as a poppy seed. There is evidence that lyme is transmitted sexually, congenitally, fleas, misquitos, or anything that bites, and they really just don't know how the family comes down with it. Again, the lyme tests by mainstream are inaccurate therefore holding the numbers to a minimum. As far as the celiac test, the mainstream tests suppose to be inaccurate. I believe there's a simple saliva test through Entrolab, let me find it for you and I'll repost. One thing that strikes me is the allergic reaction................ Oats from Hall and oats has lyme and strangely developed an allergy to celery that he's eaten his whole life. When you have lyme you begin to develop allergies to certain things. Here's what happened to me. Before I knew I had lyme my sister put an array of oils on me, i.e., lavender, oregano leaf extract, etc. The were concentrated and it put me in the hospital with a heart rate of 145 and it was horrible. I believe it was because of the lyme. Let me get you a check list of a lyme diagnosis and see what you come up with. the leisons your finding is alarming as I had another woman on Miralax who developed the same kind of thing. She had lesions on her liver and kidneys. If you ever choked while taking peg and any got into your lungs you would probably be seeing what your experiencing as it's a liquid plastic that is hard to dissipate if aspirated into the lungs. You can obtain a ILADS test from any Chiro, they recommend IGeX lab in CAJeanie To: miralax Sent: Thu, January 19, 2012 10:56:36 PMSubject: Re: Miralax cleanout.. Thank you Tracie and Jeannie for your questions. I have been fighting health issues for close to 15 years, it seems after my gall bladder was removed it started. First of all what I called a herb is probably incorrect. They put me on flaxseed tablets and I believe slippery elm, hopefully to straighten things out. Afterwards I went into a reaction with ending up dehydrated on IV in the hospital for 3 days. They also have given me something called echinacea which I was allergic to. Also any naturopath I have seen want me on a meat and vegetable diet, no starch at all, and want me to quit all my meds which is not possible. A quick summary of Rae: In 2000 I developed breathing problems and they found a tumor in my chest cavity. They removed the tumor but still breathing problems. I went as far as the Mayo Clinic which found nerve damage to the diaphragm, which makes sense but my doctor here does not believe. They cannot figure out what is wrong and are not looking to find out. 2006 I ruptured 3 discs which I get treated by injection of steroids. 2009 my left kidney was removed due to cancer. End of 2010 I had a horrible flu bug where I vomitted for a whole day, ending up with blood coming up. Since then I cannot digest real food properly and feel the best on boost. So.......due to lack of activity and due to narcotic pain meds from my back and chest pain I am constipated. In the summer a Gastroenterologist suggested I take Miralax as my problem is a reaction to constipation and my breathing problem. That did not work so now I am completely regulated with Milk of Magnesia, which I take regularly. They do not consider that I have 50 or more polyps in my stomach and several in my small bowel. I am bitter to doctors but have been burned by Naturopaths. Tracie rice works better than normal grains, there could be a gluten issue – the doctor says no as they have tested me for Celiac disease. I have emailed Dr. Oz and the Doctors. If you have any info that I could try I would be truly grateful. To have Lyme disease you have to have a tick bite, which I have never noticed but I will talk about it with my doctor. Thanks! Another thing that rang a bell was that you had a reaction to an "herb" this also happens with lyme. In order to be properly tested, they recommend ILADS docs lyme literate docs what exactly is going on? To: miralax Sent: Thu, January 19, 2012 12:10:12 PMSubject: Re: Miralax cleanout.. Your doctor sounds good . I would love to learn more about him, I will check him out. Of course we may not have someone up here who does the same but it does not hurt to look. I have very severe stomach trouble as right now I am just living off liquids such as Ensure. Most other foods make me sick and even throw up. And of course, no doctor really has a clue what is wrong. Good luck with your weight loss, I have lost 70 pounds but need to lose another 60. I have researched natural medicines and most of them still have drugs in them in a slightly different format. Weird but true. But women are strong, we always keep trying. Rae From: Torlucci Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2012 9:20 AM To: Miralax Yahoo Group Subject: RE: Miralax cleanout.. Rae,Thank you for your helpful feedback. If I ever find a doctor who prescribes herbs, I will proceed with due caution. What I love about Dr. Ehrhardt is that he simply prescribes food... precise foods in combinations... and specific ORDER in which to eat the foods. I've been following his "menu" for the past week and I feel good... actually feeling a bit thinner... as I look forward to today's appointment. I am working towards a 10 lb weight loss for my optimal weight (feeling good weight, rather than a number as I rarely weigh myself)... but more importantly, finding a balance of everything in my body for optimal health. I just want to wish you luck. What happened to me is the herbs I was given had strong anti inflammatory properties (similar to the first version of aspirin) which I should have never used and put my kidney into failure state but it did quit when I was rehydrated and the drug was treated with an antidote. Tough to find the right solution but I think you are on the right track with who you have. I will definately insist on mag citrate when I get my first colonoscopy!Thank you so much, Jeanie! I just googled "magnesium citrate colonoscopy" and found this website:http://www.health.harvard.edu/fhg/updates/preparing-for-a-colonoscopy.shtml Sadly, PEG products are first recommended... with mag citrate last. I have felt victimized by the medical industry for so many years... taking tons of antibiotics, OTC and other meds (that I have been off of for the past 10 years). I will always consider natural options first. My world changed so drastically in the year 2000 that I continue to research and find new doctors, food choices, and lifestyle changes that will support my holistic approach to health. I do believe there are many paths that can get us to the place we want to be. My newest find is Ernest A. Ehrhardt, IMD, NMD. He is located in Basking Ridge, NJ and I am currently under his care. For anyone who may be interested, his website is www.ehrhardtcenter.com. In speaking with two gastroenterologists, they stated that they require cleanout with high dosage of Miralax for colonoscopy. I am not willing to do this. Asking if there was another option, the nurse mentioned that psyllium may be used, but the doctors in the practice do not offer this option!!!!??? If anyone knows of a doctor in NJ that offers a natural method of cleanout for a colonoscopy, I would love to know. I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on Monday and they said Miralax with Gatorade as a prep. Naturally I refused and the doctor’s office was angry and said they would refuse to do it if I was not clean enough. But their prep said 8 cups or more of fluid with Miralax??? I am beginning to wonder whether this stuff was tested at all – especially after reading Ken’s story. (Oh yeah it is Restoralax up here) My dentist says if it mentions making sure to see your dentist it likely also has dental side effects. That kind of sums up every system in the body except the heart as far as I know. I will let you know how my non – Miralax colonoscopy turns out. Thanks Ken, I just read a report that was written by Braintree labs (the manufacturer) warning patients not to drink lots of water before / while taking. Now that you mention this, I want to find out why and what it's all about. I do know that one can go into shock if not properly hydrated before surgery but It makes me wonder why they say not to drink lots of liquid with Miralax. There must be a danger here we should ask our medical professionals about? To: miralax Sent: Wed, January 18, 2012 10:47:51 AMSubject: Miralax cleanout.. So, I'm having outpatient surgery tomorrow and the OR called me yesterday and told me to make sure that I'm drinking plenty of water in the next few days before the surgery--to make sure I'm hydrated to prevent dehydration after the surgery. Then I got to thinking--for my sons last colonoscopy he woke up and ended up being severely dehydrated---they obviously had him on IV fluids the entire time but he could not even move-- we ended up in recovery for 8hrs and they couldn't figure out why he was so dehydrated--well, let's see, his cleanout was MIRALAX---I just put it together yesterday... of course he was going to be dehydrated--the only thing he had for 24hrs before the colonsocopy was insane amounts of Miralax with gatorade... It sickens me to think we went along with this--we thought we had no choice concerning the clean out--however, we now know better and will NEVER use that stuff again for anything...so just a warning--DO NOT USE MIRALAX- EVEN FOR JUST A 24HR CLEANOUT!!
