It rained today, after a few days of muggy weather. I know its been raining

in Goa, Konkan and Mumbai, Pune and the South too... but I just felt like

sharing the fact that it rained here today...

What a relief...

What an immense pleasure...

The petrichor, or the smell of freshly moistened earth ( " saundhi mahak " in

Hindi/Urdu) that's so enchanting, that I just had to share it with you all

:-)

Keep in touch with the Mother Earth. You poor guys of big cities. Me in a small

town, only earth and earthy smell all around. When it rains, it pours, when it

doesn't, it burns. But well said, lovely to welcome a shower after a sweat.

That is really nice.......living in the desert.........that " s just a beautiful

dream or while watering the plants......what i play around reminding myself of

far away places where it rains.........I mean really rains......

It has been a while.....last year I was lucky since it really rained cats and

dogs or should I say camels in Abu dhabi.........and my husband being a sweet

guy that he is made us all bunk our work and went chasing behind

rains.........it was awesome to see the sky suddenly so blue and grey and the

shades of rains.........

Its something wonderful to sit in a car and watch the rain drops disappear in

the sands of time...........its so mesmerising and enchanting to watch the rain

make patterns on the desert canvas ..........

Drink a warm Adrak ki Chai.........and get wet coz this feeling is not going to

come again for another eternity............

Which is why........ my only dream come true is the patch of my small terrace

garden where i splash water and make it rain...........since our summer has just

started and will not fade till its November............

So my dear friends with a heavy sigh...........do enjoy a bit of rain for me too

and may be taste a drop of rain and miss me too......just as I tell my mom who

is enjoying rains in Pune sitting in her Zhoola ( swing) and tasting Garam

Chai...........

This is the time when I feel like running away and drenching myself in rain just

for a day...............but its just my thoughts that can run wild..........

regards

aasawari91

Dreaming of the day when she will see rains................and the parched heart

will just soak it all up in...........

You guys need to come to the UK. Lots of rain here – but too cold to get

drenched.

Still do chai and pakoras when able.
