So this I am kinda in an interesting situation. My oldest son who is now 10 years old; had constipation issues since he was 18 months old...on miralax for over 8 years and they just removed his colon and part of his small intestines a year ago.

So I assumed all is well...I was wrong. My 7 year old has now been diagnosed with constipation and a sensative tummy. They actually had the nerve to try putting him on miralax...I told them that was just not an option. They tried ex-lax,citracil,mineral oil....and still nothing works...any suggesions.

So sorry about your sons. Have you already tried all the dietary recommendations? Did the dr explain what he meant by 'sensitive tummy'? Did he mean food sensitivities? I would try all the recommendations made by parents here to eliminate gluten, dairy, etc. and adding all the constipation reducing foods. A nutritionist could also help.
