Guest guest
Congratulations, Dr Dilip Gode, for taking over as the national president of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI). The Times of India reports that you are designing courses that promise to offer wider access to minimal access surgery – to the public and to the surgeons wishing to acquire skills in key-hole surgery. A heartening news indeed. Your trainees would soon discover that the best way to reach patient’s heart (or wallet) is through their stomachs. Patients these days no longer wish to go under the knife but rather under the scope. You, as AMASI president, must broaden the scope of the general surgeons who know that the length of scar they leave behind on their patient’s belly is inversely proportional to their operating fees.
