OT ? Query: making vs. buying pre-made Lugol's...?

Hi Folks.

Please pardon me for going outside of the DMSO realm - but frankly I must say

that this group is THE most helpful and informative I've found and that folks

here seem to be more broad-minded than in any other group I've tried

participating in.

My query regards Lugol's, and t'was here that I mentioned betadine and was

pointed solidly at Lugol's...so back here I am to ask further !!!

I posted the below query in the Iodine group and got zero response:

I have a small bit of crystal iodine, and notice that even though it is sealed

and inside a sealed bag besides, the iodine seems to vaporize out somehow.

In considering my future need for Lugol's, it is attractive to me to make my own

vs. buying pre-made, but...

1)

How is crystal iodine BEST stored ?

2)

How long can one store it before it becomes weak or otherwise diminished ?

3)

Does stored Lugol's also weaken by some kind of gassing-off process ?

4)

What is the best, specific type of container for storing crystals and/or Lugol's

in for the longest period of time without problems ?

In a dark amber colored bottle in an unlighted area, ie closet

Lugols is made from elemental iodine and potassium iodide, the elemental

comes in crystals, which will dissapate if left open in the air.

An amber dark colored bottle, keeps out light, sealed from air.

Does it store better if cool as well ?

OK, but what about the solution, when it sits in the dark amber bottle, sealed -

does it manage to weaken over time anyways ?

I can only say that it will last at least five years, if kept in a dark area

or that is the max time I have stored it.

Light and air eill degrade it quickly, david lubbock tx.

Then, logically, if one has a good source for crystals $ KI it is definitely

worth making one's own vs. buying pre-made.

I have been taking 220mgs of lugols daily for about a year, I also have

chronic leukemia, a comprimised immune system for which I take LDN.

Yeast/candida had taken over my body, even with LDN, and I was slowly

headed for the grave yard, Iodine got rid of the yeast/fungus, I think it

also killed most of my friendly bacteria, I started taking betain hcl, and

got better.

But that is too much iodine to take daily, perhaps a hundred mgs is better.

I have a cool closet in my normally cool space, so that's easy.

Time to get some ingredients then, as soon as I am able.

My experiences have lead me believe more and more firmly that ALL the various

illnesses I've been through have been nothing more than different faces of the

fungal invasion already in progress in my body at birth.

It seems to mimic and simply take over the body's own parts just as 'cancer' is

said to do, and as such it must not be under-estimated in it's power and

abilities to conceal itself.

I guess I was very lucky that the observable symptoms came at a time when I was

able to research it and correlate things so as to figure this out BEFORE the

internal portions of it ate my body alive enough to simply cause death - BUT:

After about 2 years of finding and cleaning this krap out I realize that I'll

have to do it for the rest of my life (whatever that means...) EVEN if I've been

symptom and pain free for a long time (now there's something I'd love to

experience !!!).

Of course the dietary modifications I've learned thus far will remain

permanently as well - to do otherwise would simply be painfully suicidal.
