Thanks anyway, Dianne Hi Dianne, This is the site---_Water Distillers_ (http://www.wholesalewaterdistillers.com/) If you scroll down to where is says $99 distillers & click on that you will see the $65 one --{the first one in the second row }. Guest guest
Do you have any idea why the glass pot they sell is $110. That's a crazy price when it seems like any good glass vessel will be fine. Lyn Hi Lyn, I guess because some folks may just not be able to find a glass jug that fits well under the distiller & they have the hundred bucks. My gallon glass jug that came with the honey works just fine..{ Do have to lean it a bit to fit under the spout but it is fine. I cut a V in the plastic top to fit & put a towel under it so it didn't slip. It's doing it's job in the kitchen right now.} Lois
Guest guest
I guess you are right. But I'm not one with the extra hundred bucks. I would just put that distiller up on something a few inches high to allow a batter bowl or jar under it. What kind of lid should go on top? Ferments take plastic lids. Does colloidal silver react with some material which would make another a preference? I have accumulated plastic lids for my various ferments that can't have metal lids. Is it the same for CS? Hi Lyn, the water coming out of the distiller doesn't touch the lid. { & I forgot that the distiller is up 2 inches on a cutting board. ) After the distilling I keep the gallon in the refridg. in a glass gallon jug that I got vinegar in..also use a glass jug that wine came in..I keep 2 gallons in the fridg. all the time for drinking , tea making.etc.Don;t have to worry about the type top cause the water doesn't touch the top.If it was going to I would use glass or maybe cut the bottom off of a pint plastic bottle that DMSO came in.. } Lois
