Guest guest
Dear all, On Wednesday evening, after spending two days in a Nagpur cardiac hospital, I returned home. Now that the catheter, the balloon and the stent- a drug eluting alloy of platinum and chromium- have opened my semi-closed artery and the dual antiplatelet drugs are busy in warding off sticky platelets around the stent, I hope to stay well. My lipids were already low, but statins would push them further down to ensure that the innocent plaques lining my coronaries stay innocent. I must thank all e-group friends - they called me, visited me in the hospital, texted me motivating messages and wrote me soothing emails- for helping me cope with mystery of human life, fallibility of human heart and uncertainty posed by the ruptured plaque. I believe that drugs and stents do play a crucial role in repairing atheromas in the coronaries, but no less important is incessant love and affection that a human heart needs to beat passionately. And I must consider myself fortunate to have been showered with so much love. I am touched by your warmth and the depth of your concern. Your words brought tranquility and ease and helped me endure my angina and hospitalization. Right now, I spend most of my awake time answering What and Why and When and How and Where and Who. And I enjoy doing that! I hope to go back to the classrooms and patients' bedside - Insha Allah, next week! SP
Guest guest
I don't know about you, but after my Plasty, I started treasuring each living moment. I have stopped wasting my precious seconds on hating anybody or regretting things, and have now started enjoying each and every moment of my fragile life. The best thing that happened to me is that my ego has disappeared and has been replaced by a smiling benevolence. Remember the movie Guide? I am that Dev Anand in the climax scene.
