Yup, - the BARF diet is the healthiest diet. I've been having a

debate recently with a colleague of mine over this very topic - she has

a 9 year old diabetic rescue dog they're being unable to place, and I

told her honestly, the first thing I'd do is take the dog off dogfood

and feed it chicken or fish and veggies with a regular exercise routine

.... she insists on feeding a prescription diet which is carbo-based

since that's cheaper ... sadly, the dog will pay the price ...

On the pet thing. I have an American Eskimo dog who was always getting

colitis. I started investigating and now have both my dogs on a diet

closer

to thier " originial " diet. They eat lots of raw meat and bones (yes

bones

are okay as long as they haven't been cooked and made brittle), a small

amount of raw veggies and very little grain. No more colitis, the

healthiest

teeth and gums the vet says he has ever seen!
