Guest guest
This part makes me nervous where is says to vent crawl space. I've recently read that research says to seal them. This is when I get extremely anxious because you think you are doing the right thing and then you read something else. We never had any problems in our crawl space which is under an addition but 2 yrs. ago we had a vapor barrier installed just to be safe. They also recommended sealing the outside vents and it has no outside entrance. The entrance is a small door from our existing basement which is now vented and dehumidified with our HUGE dehumidifier/air purifier. Crawl space smells good and even has a flood alert pump just incase of a plumbing failure. Our house has never had water damage and I feel my house is safe since I don't get sick at home. Anyone have thoughts on the crawl space. I'm pretty sure it's been discussed before & that research from NC said to seal them. S outside, your options range from simple landscaping to extensive excavation and waterproofing. Water leaks in pipes or around tubs and sinks can provide a place for biological pollutants to grow. Put a plastic cover over dirt in crawl spaces to prevent moisture from coming in from the ground. Be sure crawl spaces are well- ventilated. **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros.
