Guest guest Posted February 19, 2012 Report Share Posted February 19, 2012 Most folks use .9999 pure wire, and some insist that thicker is better, but I found that in my setup 14 AWG worked the best. I found a seller who has it (currently) for $92 for 10 feet. Since I make it for me, 5 cats/dogs and 2 friends - a single 10 foot length is enough for a few years, at least. (When I got mine it was $80 for the 10 feet.) There are sources which are much cheaper for .999 purity wire, and they say they have many customers who use it to make silver water, but considering how little I've used I'll stay with the better quality.
