>Hmm. I’ve eaten quite a bit of Coconut Oil on an empty stomach and I’ve

never noticed any sort of reaction to it. Sometimes when I’m heading out the

door to do chores I get an urge to eat something but I don’t want to eat

something inappropriate (like crackers or a candy), so I’ll scoop about a

teaspoon of CO into my mouth and it stops any hunger signals for an hour or so.

I know CO will curb the appetite. I learned this from a book I bought about this

food at the same time I was starting to take it. I about had no appetite in the

first year because I ate so much oil thru the day. I had to make myself eat at

least once a day because my condition would not allow for fasting.

>This herxing must be a person to person individual experience then, eh? Does my

lack of herxing imply that I don’t have a viral/candida issue? Or might I just

not be consuming enough to get a reaction? This is all very interesting!

The " empty stomach " thing to me was only following a length of time of not

eating. Hence: break-fast. Like you, I also would have it throughout the day.

But if I ate or drank at all, that negated the empty stomach idea. At least for

me. I did not herx when I took it thru the day even if I fasting at first on

just drinking my habit of 6 20 oz mugs of water. That was when I learned that CO

curbs your appetite. So I did do a water, CO oil fast for a couple days until I

learned why I wasn't hungry.

So the herx would only be the single dose I took once a month, first thing in

the morning. And the pain level varied each time, until there was no more a few

months later.

I used a soup spoon to take my oil, but I measured that and it is not much

bigger than a teaspoon. At least mine aren't. Maybe yours are different.
