Guest guest
Well, they used to say that ms was psychological and also that ulcers were caused by stress. The medical community is mostly just SLOW (and some are stupid). There will always be stupid people. A very early doctor who discovered hygiene and recommended that doctors wash their hands was thought to be crazy by his peers and committed suicide! It was either Semmelweiss or Lister, can't remember now. Just do your best to ignore stupid people, they are everywhere, sigh, Alice ldelp84227 <ldelp84227@...> wrote: The sad part of this story is that many people will continue to be abused by people that see this story and decide that there is no need to be careful when near a person with chemical problems. I had an inlaw that would spray cologne all over the house before he would go to church. He knew it would hurt both my husband and me. We were living there while waiting to get a safe place since we had lived in so many places with mold. The sad part is when you have both mold illness and reactive airways disease or chemical sensitivity. To me it seems like discrimination to our illnesses. I wrote a comment but mostly to educate the people that did the story and kept a cool head. But it is hard to take when you have worked for so many years trying to educate the world and someone can come along and discredit everything we have worked for to get awareness out there and to save our lives. It is getting so old that we have to tolerate this for so long. --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
I'll never understand that kind of mean-spiritedness. It's like children in kindergarten can be. I've been privy to some of this myself, but am just sorry to hear such stupidity goes on elsewhere. Guest guest
It is mean of people to do the things they do. I have family members and friends who have at least been nice enough to not wear perfumes/colognes to our home but I always have to remind them in advance. I have others who I believe accidentally on purpose light the candles, leave the air fresheners and fragrances on just to see how I will react. It is very hurtful because I feel that people just don't want to listen. If I was missing a leg, blind or had another visible disability I'm certain they would be more accommodating. I don't even think people understand how allergy suffers really feel. They think you are just sneezing and should take a pill to stop it all. I have learned it is a very unkind world we live in and I NEVER used to think that way. I always tried to help others & be kind in hopes I would always be treated the same. What I have learned in the past 5 years has left me deeply hurt by the human race. Thanks goodness for this wonderful group and some others I have met through my mold journey. It has been a life saver!!! I do believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope we see it soon, so that we and the many children all over the country can be helped. Sue I'll never understand that kind of mean-spiritedness. It's like children in kindergarten can be.
