Guest guest
You may be detoxing or reacting to something (not necessarily mold) in the new place. Did you take contaminated belongings with you? Are you eating unfamiliar food cooked in different ways? You may have simply contracted flu or some other infection from your experiences. Can you provide a bit more info about the new location (apt, home, hotel) so we can get more specific? Do your symptoms change over the course of the day or if you go outside? Guest guest
Yes, we felt worse until we got treatment. I believe the term is " unmasking " as your body starts to recognize the impact of the environmental exposure. > > and i feel worse--tired, increased shortness of breath, anxiety, > dizziness and now nausea and diarrea. anyone feel worse after they > left? any comments will be appreciated and thank you. sally >

Guest guest
Once sick, you are more sensitive to environmental pollutants of all sorts as your immune system has been compromised. I think you may have moved into another sick building, perhaps different air quality issue. I moved into an extended stay type hotel. At first I developed new rash. Looking around found very dirty a/c. I asked them to clean it and after that started to feel much better. I stayed there about two months. Felt great when I left but left for a new temporary but cheaper apartment and crashed right away. Could hardly get up and do anything. At first I thought it was the stress of moving but it never lifted. Looking around found very dirty radiator that air was flowing through. Again, cleaned it out and felt better. HOWEVER there were lots of healthy looking people living there and when I visited my neighbor, noticed the dirty radiator but she wasn't sick or at least didn't look it, so I just have become more sensivitive to environmental pollution of all kinds than most people. > > and i feel worse--tired, increased shortness of breath, anxiety, > dizziness and now nausea and diarrea. anyone feel worse after they > left? any comments will be appreciated and thank you. sally >

Guest guest
i am staying at a hotel which has some rooms they dont use regular cleaners in a few rooms. but they do everything else here like spray the hotel, paint, etc. i feel better usually when i wake up but not since i came here. this morning i was nauseated and when i went to look at houses to buy i was as sick as a dog. houses i did not react in 2 weeks ago i do now. but then they had just gone over wood surfaces in one with old english and had put in plug ins in the other. i do have a fever and an elevated white blood cell count. it seems all i want to do is sleep. i think i was better off before i left mold haven. at least then i was better away. but that doesnt make sense does it? you have to leave for good sometime. i do have a few clothes from the house. and my husband does my laundry there. could that be it? oh and he is back and forth. i think i feel sick when he comes near me. and of course he wears clothes that have been there for years. my house has sort of shoe polish smelling mold. it's not good at all. sally [] Re: hi i have left my moldy house You may be detoxing or reacting to something (not necessarily mold) in the new place. Guest guest
If you had to leave your home, then it doesn't really make sense to bring the home with you in terms of contaminated clothing or use of that washing machine. Your husband needs to have new clothing at your hotel and shower/change each time he returns there. Old clothes can be discarded and newer ones less exposed to the house. Shoes worn in the house ought to be left at your door, removed before walking into the hotel room. Putting mylar covers on the car seats may also help with cross contamination. If family objects to the 'waste' of the old clothes, send a sample to be analyzed for residues at a lab. Perhaps you know someone in the area who will let you clean replacement clothing in their washer (not old!). If you have access to your doctor, sounds like you should be evaluated for an infection and the type/source of the problem. If mold related, you may need treatment for a fungal or bacterial infection but it is possible you picked up a viral infection = blood work ought to differentially assess that since treatments differ and you don't want to take meds which won't work for your particular problem. Guest guest
> > what sort of treatment did you get? i am taking ivig once a month. even it is making me worse. How were you able to get prescribed IgIV? The doctors I've seen (University of Iowa and Mayo Clinic) said that even though two (out of 4) of my IgG subclasses were low, I didn't have a record of infections to qualify for IgIV. How cruel is that? " You haven't had enough infections repetitively for us to give it to you... " and " the other two IgG classes should make up for the deficiency " . Yeah, in a NORMAL person, not one suffering from SBS, MCS, etc.. I think they've been brainwashed by the insurance industry...I'm pretty sure it will help boost your immune system tremendously...
