Guest guest
I finally got a box of CSM packets from an alternative doc I go to but with no refills. This has been so hard for me for some reason. Someone here said they put it in applesauce and I like it that way, seems to irritate my throat less if is in that. Then I follow it with a glass of water. --- In , " Laurie Lowery " <lannl4@...> wrote: > > Cholestyramine is a cholesterol lowering medication available by > prescription only. Guest guest
I have the protocol saved from previous discussions. I'm only taking it once or twice a day since I don't know if I will be able to get refill. Perhaps if I tell him it is helping me, he will refill it. I'll have to see. If he starts to give me refills, I'll take it more often. The CSM helps if I have skin rash or itchy skin. I can feel the difference in that it gets rid of skin irritation. > > > Try mixing it with ice tea or crystal light. Guest guest
You may want to try taking it at least 2X a day to see if you get some good results. Maybe even try it 3X every other day. Taking it and showing some improvement may make your Dr. realize how helpful it is to you!! I have the protocol saved from previous discussions. It binds with a diverse variety of toxin molecules, including biotoxins/mycotoxin s (the microscopic filaments from toxic mold that screw up our cells) My fiance and I take a powdered form mixed with water. We call it stang for stinky tang. Its really not that bad. Dr. Gray put us on this. CSM also comes in pill form. Dr. Shoemaker recommends starting first with this and then moving on to other meds. CSM is a sequstering agent. We take ours along with liquid bentonite(yummy clay)and activated charcoal capsules, which are also detox/sequstering agents you can pick up at the health food store. You could start there, it may help with headaches. It sounds like you have been suffering from biotoxic illness all along and the mold is only making it worse which is the case with many of us. You can order Dr. Shoemakers book, Mold Warriors by calling his office. 410-957- 1550. Try and find an open minded Dr. who would be willing to start you on CSM preferably the oral suspension type. Good luck and remember, one day at a time!!! LL
Guest guest
nne, you would need to talk with your Dr. regarding taking two different cholesterol meds at the same time. You can't take any other meds within 2 hrs of taking cholestyramine because it will bind with the other meds making them ineffective. Also if you are planning on moving soon, wait until you get your new place before buying any new furniture, clothes, bedding etc. otherwise you will only cross contaminate your new place. Hope you are doing ok today. Guest guest
FYI. Shemaker has me on CSM and Whelcol. I can take one or the other and then I also take Crestor for high cholestorol. Along with everything else I feel like I am a walking experiment. Anyway I honestly can't tell you what is doing what if anything at all. I will say that the more meds, the bigger the cycle. I take effexor for the panic and anxiety but that has given me high blood pressure so I take meds to help that, then this causes that so on and so on. laurie lowery <lannl4@...> wrote: nne, you would need to talk with your Dr. regarding taking two different cholesterol meds at the same time.
