He says his auditors found decrepit and dangerous conditions during a routine financial audit of the Paerdegat Athletic Club in Canarsie — including missing fire extinguishers, exposed insulation and uncovered outlets. says conditions were so disgusting; his auditors did not want to return. THOMPSON: " Fungus, mold and actual mushrooms growing on a floorboard under a track. Let me make it clear: that's an indoor track. " REPORTER: A spokesman for the Parks Department says it is reviewing the materials submitted by and it has sent inspectors to the club.
