OK, here is my situation: I have been fighting with one infection after another since mid- September when my shunt became infected & had to be removed. I have had a staph infection of the abdominal site for which I was treated with a few courses of oral antibiotics. I finished the last course a few weeks ago. For the past 4-5 days, the incisions on my head are burning and draining (not a lot, but draining nonetheless.) A small area at the top and bottom of my PFR site are draining and the ear site from my shunt is swollen, hot, and painful to the touch. I know that I have more infections going on. I have emailed Dr. B who is sending me scripts for testing. This morning when I woke up, the burning was WAY more intense than it has been. I am afraid to call TCI because there is NO way I can afford another trip to NY. We are past drained from the holiday and I have nowhere to get the money from.
