Guest guest
For me, ice is the best thing. I keep several ice gel paks in the freezer. I think if you have burning, heat might add to it. Lidoderm patches are good sometimes (some people don't find them helpful, some do), they are expensive but if you can get a prescription for them, they might help. You might try, in bed, to place a pillow between your knees, that sometimes helps for the next day, to have less pain. Avoid bending and lifting, obviously. Do you have one of those reacher tools that can pick up things off the floor for you? If you are sitting for long periods at the computer, get up and walk around once every half hour if you can. Try to be in tune with what triggers the back pain, and then avoid it, obviously. For pain meds, oxycodone or Percocet has helped. Well I am here to say it is not managing the pain. I don't > want to move, straightening up is hard. Does anyone have any other > ways that they deal with the back pain.
