Guest guest
This is from Livestrong.com  COX Inhibition The inflammatory processes in your body are largely regulated by enzymes called cyclooxygenases. Cyclooxygenase-1, or COX-1, and cyclooxygenase-2, or COX-2, convert fatty acids to compounds called prostanoids, many of which are responsible for causing inflammation in your tissues. The therapeutic effects of commonly prescribed anti-inflammatory medications, such as ibuprofen or celecoxib, are due to inhibition of COX enzymes. A study published in the February 2006 issue of " Planta Medica " showed that hops extract selectively inhibits COX-2 in a manner similar to the prescription medication celecoxib. Brain fog can really take the pleasure out of life. Candida is a nasty, insidious parasite. I've been fighting it for a long time. I'm sure it infringes on many systems. Then I read when candida gets into the blood, it badly affects the brain.< Good to know. Sometimes I just feel worn down where candida is concerned. I don't have any overt symptoms, so I hardly know it's there until I eat too much sugar or grain and then it shows itself! I've been having thyroid/arrhythmia problems so had to stop taking my Armour thyroid; it was causing tachycardia and palpitations. But I believe that starting taking my iodine again will do me nothing but good. Hugs, Dianne
