Guest guest
She may want to contact an Egoscue practitioner or email the clinic and do it on line. I had told my friend about Egoscue and she did it and was so thrilled with the results that she became an Egoscue practitioner. She'd been doing the 'normal' stretches, the ones in the book for a couple years. And then she started getting some pains in her legs, if I remember right. She was telling me about it and I asked her why she wasn't doing the stretches anymore and she said she was, but that they weren't helping with that particular pain. I'd remembered that when she went through the schooling she told me there were about 300 stretches, far more than what is in the book so I asked her if she had tried any of those. And she said no, she hadn't even thought of that! Lol So she went back through her lessons and picked some of the other stretches and yep--total relief. Which means that though the book covers the basics, there can be a need for the ones not common. In fact, it should only take 10 to 15 minutes in the morning once she has the correct stretches and is out of pain. The maintenance stretches should keep her that way. She can have the clinic take a look at her via the web, through photos, if there's no practitioner in her area. There aren't a lot as it's very expensive for not just the certification, but to be listed on their site. My friend got certified but didn't want to pay out the thousands to be listed on the egoscue web site, so she just advertises locally. Samala, -------Original Message------- My friend has been doing Egoscue for yrs and it's time consuming, but it works....she's so improved than before but still has issues, pain is everywhere, for her hands, wrists, back, etc etc etc... Guest guest
Thanks, Smitty, It's funny. Exercising something that hurts always seems counter-intuitive to me, but I will see what happens when I try the half-squats... Dianne
Guest guest
I don't do squats, but use a theraband for tension exercise...I use the grey bands...do the work on my bed, on the floor, it's resistance training.... ________________________________ To: DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO Sent: Monday, March 26, 2012 10:16 AM Subject: Sore knees  Thanks, Smitty, It's funny. Guest guest
I ordered the Egoscue book from Amazon. First checked our local library. It was listed, but missing from the shelf. You might check your library for the book, *Pain Free: A Revolutionary Method for Stopping Chronic Pain " * by Egoscue, Pete On Mon, Mar 26, 2012 at 6:39 AM, gaiacita@... wrote: > ** > > > She may want to contact an Egoscue practitioner or email the clinic and do > it on line.
