Thanks so much to all those (Smitty, Joyce, Liz, , , Mara and MB)

who have offered advice on how to nip my knee pain in the bud!

While I am accustomed to dealing with the overall pain of fibromyalgia, the pain

in my right knee concerns me, as I have to go up and down four steep flights of

stairs each time I leave the house. It's getting harder all the time.

Now that I think about it, I realize that I am also experiencing increasing

weakness. Several times, that knee has suddenly gone out from under me while on

the stairs. Scary stuff. Dealing with fibromyalgia has resulted in reduced

exercise, so my challenge is two-fold. I have to treat the pain, while

strengthening my muscles and connective tissue.

NY Public Library has the book, Pain Free by Pete Egoscue, and I have put a

reserve on it. It's important to me to increase my strength carefully. I don't

want to cause any new damage while trying to treat the damage I already have.

In the meantime, I will be researching the various supplements which have been

suggested. I'm familiar with boswellia and turmeric, but I have yet to try

hyaluronic acid or MSM.

This list is remarkable: so much knowledge, and so many great people willing to

share it.

Thanks so much!

Hugs, Dianne
