Guest guest
I know this may fly in the face of the Shoemaker/Grey protocols and is only something I learned from a practitioner I'd spoken with who relieved a great deal of his own symptoms by unducing sweating. He doesn't use saunas or anything but does a certain amount of moderate exercising, walking, treadmill, etc for about 40 minutes and then takes a shower as hot as he can stand it for 10-15 minutes. At the end he very slowly changes the temp to a cold temp just to cool off. You have to make sure to drink water throughout and also make sure your water is okay and not something you'd have a problem with like chlorine and such. Haven't done this yet nor can I swear by it. He has passed this info on to other clients some with mcs some with mold issues and said that all of them experienced significant relief and improvment from a variety of conditions. I didn't get specifics eg, weight gain. This is only second hand info and not meant as any medical advice. If you have safe water, it would be alot cheaper than a sauna and at least might help compliment the Shoemaker protocols. Guest guest
I am dealing with this very issue right now. I feel fat, fat, and I know it is from mold. My therapist also has mold illness and EI and put on 20 pds since exposed which was about a year ago. I am so upset about all these symptoms today I just want to cry and cry. I will say that, when I was away from my home and moldy car (which I'm in the process of remediating) for 8 hours, after about 2 hours, I started peeing like crazy. My bowels moved and moved (sorry for the graphics), my nose started draining, and I felt like I actually wasn't going to fall asleep. By the end of 8 hours, I looked like I lost 10 pds. The bloat was going and I could see my old body again. Within a day of getting back into the car and home, all the weight came back, as well as the other symptoms. I experienced the same thing when I went to LA, in a hotel room! I could actually feel myself deflating. Overnight, I had my old body back. Please don't tell me to get out of that car and house-I am working at moving and remediating and treating.... I already know. Just wanted to give some hope that when you get out of the environment that is causing inflammation and your body to encapsulate the toxins in fat cells so your brain won't be damaged, I believe we can lose the weight, with time and treatment. Guest guest
I was also recommended hot baths after exercising: I used either a bit , 1 cup, of hydrogen peroxide (I have gotten alot of flack for this method but it has worked for me so you decide) or just some bath salts. I really saw results with the bath salts because you are significantly drained after the bath, thirsty too and I always felt leaner. It's obvious that water retention is part of the problem and drinking alot of lemon water helped me too-lemon cleanses the liver and I just lived in the bathroom! But I feel better. A low salt diet, lots of water, exercise and bath-good luck! Surella > > I am dealing with this very issue right now. I feel > fat, fat, and I know it is from mold.
