I was just wondering if there are any self-help books out there directed at AS

spouses, apart from the Journal of Best Practices. All the books I've come

across and ordered are heavily geared towards the NT partner and warn that the

AS person won't/can't change much. When I have expressed this to my boyfriend,

he got kind of frowny and said " That's kind of condescending " . He has expressed

the desire to learn how to become a better partner for me as I am trying to do

for him, but I haven't found any books for him.

Any titles any of you could recommend? Especially those Aspies on the list, have

you ever read something that proved useful in dealing with NTs?

IMO, *any* of the better self-help books on social relationships should

help. The Problem with most AS/NT/NS relationships, when there is one,

is a *people* issue - not an " able " person vs an " un-able " person.

Focusing on " disability " as an issue too often misses the real point of

things.
