Class in October. The following is the official announcement of that class.

I am really excited about taking the class as well as the fact that we are

DISPATCH TRAINING AND CONSULTING

PRESENTS

TACTICAL DISPATCHER COURSE

OCTOBER 9-12, 2000

LOCATION: Gwinnett County Police Dept (not far from Atlanta)

Southside Precinct

Snellville, GA

TIME: 0800-1700 HRS Daily

COURSE FEE: $250.00 per student

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 32 hour course is structured to provide Public

Safety Dispatchers with the operational skill to function as an integral

participant in support of critical, high risk operations. The program will

focus on the duties and responsibilities of the dispatcher operating from the

communications center and/or the command post. A simulated scenario training

will take place on October 12th.

Topics to be covered are: Introduction and Administrative Information,

Critical Incidents and Response, Operational Problems in Conducting High Risk

Operations, Command Protocol for Tactical Operations, Command Post and

Command Post Control, Communications Systems, Duties and Responsibilities of

SWAT, Sniper, and HNT, Assessing the Situation, Role of the Tactical

Dispatcher, Duties and Responsibilities of the Tactical Dispatcher, Command

Post Processing of Information, Scenario Day with SWAT/SERT Team

INSTRUCTOR: Tammy has been a public safety dispatcher for 20 years,

with 8 years experience as a Tactical Dispatcher for the Mountain View-Palo

Alto SWAT Team. In 1993 Tammy, along with her team, began to formalize what

has now become the Tactical Dispatch Program.

Course Restriction and Enrollment: This course is limited to 24 students.

Enrollment will be based on a first come first serve basis.
