Guest guest
Just letting you all know with the hard work of my fellow conference planning members, the CAC is about to put on one wonderful day long conference on Friday, May 4th. We have about 500 people registered for the conference this year. Next year, the topic will be on Transition and Young Adults, and we anticipate a record number of attendees in 2013. We are trying to get Temple Grandin to be our keynote speaker at next year's conference. Other possibilities include Dr. Shore and the president of the Autism Society of America (I forget his name off the top of my head). If you know of someone that I should consider (must be someone who is highly visible in the autism community in the USA and could be a huge draw to any autism conference/symposium), please either reply to this or email me offlist with ideas. Thank you. Also, to and/or Helen - am I allowed to promote next year's conference on here or do I need to go to certain autism magazines which could mention it in their literature? This is all new stuff to me, in terms of promoting a conference, so I thought I would ask. I do not wish to " rock the boat " in here. I appreciate what you both do for us in aspires, as well as many others who have made contributions to this group through your comments and suggestions. /Greater Chattanooga Aspies
