I've only been taking biotin for a short time, about a week, but I am already seeing small signs of improvement. It's also supposed to be good for the hair. For many years I've been taking alpha lipoic acid (to prevent neuropathy), but as beneficial as it has been, I know it can compete with biotin and interfere with its activity in the body. Maybe the reason I've had a quick positive response to biotin is that I've been deficient in biotin for some time? I will continue to take a 5000 mcg supplement for the time being, but eventually I will make a point of incorporating foods that are rich in biotin into my way of eating. Thanks for the tip! Guest guest
I haven't seen any difference yet - but have been trying that too. Goodness - mine's only 500mcg - does that mean I have to take 20 capsules? Jane Shirley wrote: " The ingesting of a 5000 mcg, capsule of biotin two times per day has resulted in much healthier skin.
