I have a friend that plays golf & I mentioned the skeeters & black flies being real pesky one year..she said when she played golf she put a fabric softener sheet on her golf cap & was never bothered.. I used one on my hat & put one on each of our dogs collars when we went for our walk in the woods----No problems for them or me... I think if you google garlic spray for mosquitoes you'll find it. They say the smell only lasts for a few moments. I know a couple people on a list a few years ago that tried spraying their yards and said it worked great.
