Guest guest
You can call UPS and complain about your driver, if your road is passable, there is no excuse to leave your boxes out like that, where I live are unpaved mountain roads, there are some places and driveways the delivery drivers absolutely cannot get up, when that happens, there are alternate locations they deliver the packages, to a local store, to a community center, they also ALWAYS call to let the recipient know where they delivered the package, don't know if you live in the sort of place where you can have items delivered to an alternate but safe location... you paid to have said items DELIVERED to your home, not left out in the sun and other weather, exposed to theft, animals and other problems. Perhaps you could talk to your delivery driver and see what you can work out, if your road is too difficult, then there must be another way to deal with this. Guest guest
The lane doesn't belong to me and though we keep it cut back, there are many taller branches that I can't reach. The one UPS guy has a big truck and he told me that they are responsible for any scratches and such on the trucks, and when he comes down my lane he gets scratches. I told him to leave my packages out front and we agreed on a spot. One guy use to call every time he left a package so I could go right out and get it. one driver doesn't have a cell phone. Normally I don't order through the mail much so when I do I watch for a package. It was just that it got very hot that day and he must have come early and I didn't go look until later. By then the damage had been done. I can't blame them for not wanting to mess up their trucks. There are 2 sizes that deliver--a small truck that has no trouble getting down, and a big truck that gets scratches because it's so tall and large. So I just told them both to leave packages out front. It's not really their fault. Guest guest
Regarding UPS. If you get the tracking number i believe you can log on to UPS and sign up for notifications whenever anything happens to your shipment. That way, as soon as it is dropped off (delivered) you'd get an email letting you know. That should take care of this kind of thing.
