Guest guest
Do you drive? I know it can be a pain but if your close to the delivering terminals you can ship the package to the terminal (has to be addressed to the terminal) with a hold for customer pick up notation. The company can also ship the pkg and require a signature on delivery. If you work can you have it shipped to your work? Or do you have any friends or family who you could ship it to that would be a safer location? >I just can't believe they would leave the pkgs unattended like that at a multiple residence bldg That is terrible.< Thanks , IMO, it's moronic. Just careless beyond belief. >I get pkgs left outside my back door at my home. It is not visable from the street and it is inside my fence.< When I lived in a small town in Conn, that would have probably worked, things were much simpler then. Not any more! >Is there an office in the bldg they can leave the pkg at? Maybe the leasing office if there is one.< It's a small building and my neighbors are mostly transients. The landlord runs it like a hotel, which is actually illegal, but so many laws are overlooked these days. >UPS's basic customer service sucks major! They act as if they don't care and your bothering them.< Exactly! >The company I work for ships by UPS daily. We have a special preferred customer number vs the dial an idiot number < I think I got the idiot. They say they are going to trace the package. I asked them if they thought the thief would tell them what he or she did with it? How does one trace a stolen package anyway? The only good thing is that I have it in writing that the package was left by the front door. (My building is locked, so " by the front door " can only mean in the street.) >Those ppl are top notch! Our UPS driver is wonderful too.< They used to be terrific here too. What I think is happening is that they've got them on such a tight schedule that they are cutting corners to try and keep up with it. It will be inconvenient for us both, but I'm going to ask my daughter if I can send packages to her. She lives in a doorman building and they are good about receiving packages. It's just that then I'll have to go collect them. Sigh. Better than losing them altogether. Hugs, Dianne
