Guest guest
I enjoyed this article because I've been on sulfatrim for 8 months and have been free from any symptoms of bronchiectasis. So far so good. I dont know how this will all turn out hower, I saw this interesting article on the internet from the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine- They have 2 confirmed cases of severe bronchiectasis who were put on trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazone (tmp/smx) which is the same as sulfatrim, and they have been symptom free of bronc for over a year. I know my doctor was impressed I was so well and was going to tell another doctor who treated me in the hospital, what happened. They were put on low doses and that is what I'm doing. I'm fact I'm so good now my doctor wants to do whatever I want to do from now on. I know I have to deal with resistance but I cant worry about that right now.JuneK
