Local Sheriff office In ohio started chasing a stolen truck. After chasing the truck for a while, the truck ran a red light, T-boned a mini van carring a family of 5, overturning the van, Killing 2 of the 3 children inside. 5year old boy, and 3 year old boy, sending Mom and Dad and 3rd brother to er. Mom and dad okay, 2 dead, and the 7 year old boy lay in icu at the trauma center. The kicker is the driver of the stolen van, His girlfriend was in front of him, so after the crash she doubled back and open fired on the Police, Along with the suspect. Gun battle insued ( causing delay for the injured family that was in the wrong place at the wrong time). Police shot and killed the suspect of the stolen truck, girlfriend fled, police did not chase sayed at the location of the crash..... So...... chase or dont chase......... Chase- If ya chase things like this happen and it is sad in all ways, But ya got to get them some how. Dont Chase- If police make a strick no chase rule, word is gonna get out and crime is going to go up.. I always thought if something were to happen and i got involved in a crash due to a police chase, that i would understand, but being a father of 3 close to the same age's as the two dead children, im not sure i could justify in my mind chasing a stolen car that can be replaced. that is why we pay for insurence......
