Diane yes i dont know why he didnt do the PCR but it could be because its too

expensive and the insurance companies are paying for this anymore. I had to

pay 200.00 for that test at igenix just because my dr. likes that lab. i can

only imagine what the PCR would cost. and i dont think the CDC recognises it.

they are crazy you know. lol

Diane,

Doesnt the Lyme PCR test for the actual lyme spirochete DNA in the

blood?

Its tough because there really isnt a reliable lyme test. I too am

at a loss trying to figure out what is lyme and what is mold symptoms.

as far as lyme mold connection, i think we got the lyme first. i did anyway,

10 years ago. after that everything is just more sensitive. my sinusis are

alert - i have focal seizures so i smell things for no good reason all the time.

and taste funney taste but when my nose went crazy and i couldnt breath and

nothing was helping me i knew i was either on the way to a lyme attact or

something was very wrong. i kept waiting for a fevor but none. this was going

on for a good six months now. i mean i have felt lousy for 10 years so i just

thought i was getting older and getting worse. glad to know it was the mold.

maybe there is hope for me yet. :)

I've been wondering about the lyme/mold thing myself.I have been

diagnosed with lume, just have read here about many that have.

I had looked for info. before and found that ticks are also mold

feeders, I have wondered if theres some connection, like a higher

chance of ticks being where theres moldy homes and if they bite you

and they've been eating or around the mold if it would be a way to be

infected with mold toxins somehow, or a mixture of myco's and borilla

(dpelling) what ever thats called. just a thought, I never really

did much research there. but it's weird that so many people with myco

poisoning get misdiagnosed with lyme.

bioengineered? aha like on plum island maybe? i cant follow all the other

technical stuff. but yup i really think those suckers werent supposed to get

out of the lab. the CDC doesnt want to deal with it cause if they actually

changed the tests there would be a heck of a lot more people out there diagnosed

with lyme disease and perhaps they would have to admit some kind of epidemic.

instead you have a bunch of people with chronic fatique or some with all kinds

of misdiagnosed diseases. what is up with this cdc?

[] Re: PCR test, mold and lyme

I don't think its a misdiagnosis. Infection with lyme skewers the

immune system and then leads to other problems such as increased mold

sensitivity. The endotoxins generated by lyme bacteria stress the

detox system and then it can't handle stuff like mold. In addition I

have wondered if the borrelia was bioengineered or else another bug in

the ticks was bioengineered as a mycoplasma, and " myco " is fungus, so

there might be some cross reactivity or inability to handle mold

specifically because of the organism, something that has not been

investigated and probably won't be for a long long time.

I tested as equivocal, but apparently on the test,

there are 'titers'-these numbers that have positive or

negative next to them. there are certain titers that,

in combination of others, prove that you have Lyme.

Also, you should be tested for co-infections that come

with Lyme, like Babesia, Erlichia, etc...I think if

you have any of those, you must have Lyme, because

they are parasites that piggyback on the Lyme

bacteria..
