Guest guest
I seemed to have misplaced your nice long reply to me where you mentioned higher doses of shark cartlidge.... My hip replacement is basically OK, not the greatest epxiernece for me, I start today with PT for the nerve damage and IT band strain.... My biggest issue is Spinal Stenosis and spondylothesis, which was all there before surgery and all now worse...shifting, settling of everything with new parts.... The last thing I want is to go back in there and Open Things Up....yikes yikes... Could you re-send that nice long note to me... I have used serrapaptese before but just bought some serrazimes and giving that a try....I don't know if there is help for Spinal Stenosis....joyce. ________________________________ To: DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO Sent: Monday, May 28, 2012 2:25 PM Subject: Re: Can DMSO cause stomach irritation? Hi, Mara. I have used DMSO for quite some time, both topically and internally and haven't had any problems. That being said... I had to take antibiotics for while a few years back and, in spite of taking lots of probiotics and yogurt, experienced horrible stomach and gut pains after a while. When I complained to my surgeon, he handed me a bottle of Mylanta..lol.. Gee.. thanks doc. I felt like I had eaten ground glass.. Long story, short... I ended up taking a product put out by Lane Labs called " Nature's Lining " . It literally can help to strengthen weak areas of the stomach.. rebuild them and thicken them. My experience with this product is that.. after using a whole bottle and part of another (about a month and 1/2), I haven't had to take it any more and I no longer experience gut or stomach pain and it has been several years since this happened. If this is your friend's problem, it can be an easy fix and relatively inexpensive. If memory serves, you just chew one capsule with meals. Now.. let me also say that I have never had a problem with gerds etc. I do feel like the antibiotic really did a number on me and the Nature's Lining 'cured' the damage. I too, took ibuprophen for years and had stopped taking it a year or so before my surgeries (I broke my back yrs ago and have unrelenting pain). She needs to get off the ibuprophen, take shark cartilage or bovine cartilage and hyaluronic acid etc... There are things 'out there' that can help with inflammation and pain that won't have the side effects of ibuprophen. Guest guest
Joyce.. that is awful about the spinal stenosis. My bro-in-law had surgery for that condition last year and he still has discomfort. My understanding of the condition is that there is a narrowing of places in the spine/back/hip areas where nerves pass thru and the squeezing of those nerves cause terrible pain. I'm with you about any 'natural' cures for the condition. I would sure be slapping on the DMSO tho and the magnets. One way to find out if the grounding/earthing mats/sheets would be helpful for you is to spend 20 mins - 30 mins or so outside, barefoot, with your feet in contact with good old Mother Earth. If you notice a lessening of the pain etc.. then an earthing mat might be helpful and would indicate that inflammation is causing some of your pain. Joyce, you just have to experiment and find what works for you. Do let me know if you have anymore questions or if I can help in any way. Lola --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ------------------------------------ Here it the other posting, Joyce.. Joyce, so sorry about your hip pain. It has been found that glucosamine doesn't work for everyone. Most of what I have posted below will work for situations where the body has been injured or there is arthritis, etc. What concerns me is that your hip replacement isn't 'natural'. I would be raising cain with the surgeon and asking if there have been any recalls or concerns about the quality of the hip replacement itself. You might be having a problem with scar tissue. One product out there is serrapeptase. It dissolves anything that is organic and foreign or 'dead' in one's body.. ie.. it helps with varicose veins, blocked arteries, clogged sinuses and joint pain. Dr's Best at vitacost - 40,000 ius is a good brand. Of course, DMSO also helps to soften and dissolve scar tissue. And don't worry about the serrapeptase or DMSO bothering your hip replacement. I have a saline breast implant and have had both lenses replaced in my eyes (cataract surgery) and nothing is leaking or has dissolved yet. LOL I broke my back in 5 places in an auto accident many decades ago and refused conventional therapies (spinal fusion, etc.) But I have been left with a permanent curvature of my spine. What has worked for me over the years, especially for the times when I have overdone and my back has almost bed-ridden me, is castor oil packs. The relief is almost miraculous. I'll be glad to share usage details and instructions if you want to pursue this course. Also.. a high quality shark cartilage capsule (unless one is allergic to seafood) such as the one mfg by Lane Labs... 8 - 12 per day in divided doses. Shark cartilage is one of the strongest anti-inflammatories out there. Also great for killing pain. *There are cheaper shark cartilages 'out there' but unless the shark cartilage is specially treated and milled, the molecules will be too big to do you much good or to be absorbed. I trust the Lane Labs brand completely. And... hyaluronic acid.. the vitacost brand. It is a natural product that our body mfgs and uses to help lubricate our joints. Use 8 - 10 per day for the first week or so, tapering down to 2 - 4 per day for maintenance, in divided doses as you see aches and pains go away. And.. DMSO. It is hard to believe that something like this could be as wonderful and as safe as it is but.. wow !! Great stuff. I only use this product available at http://dmso.bz/pages/1/index.htm because I know it is pure. It is a 70/30% dilution that I dilute another 30% or so with distilled water. That is the only cautionary with DMSO. You must have clean hands and make sure the skin where DMSO is applied is clean.. no moisturizers, creams etc since DMSO is a 'carrier'. It, itself, not only penetrates deeply into tissue, it also takes anything and everything with it. So, unless I am willing to eat it.. I add nothing to DMSO that I wouldn't put in my mouth. Oh.. and you can take DMSO internally.. 1/2 tsp or so diluted with distilled water a time or two per day. The only other thing I have ever used for acute pain episodes is theraputic (sp) magnets. If you are interested, let me know and I will tell you the type I have been using. I have used magnets for well over 20 yrs with great results. And, no.. these are not like the magnets you use on your refrigerator. lol For my chronic back pain, I use the hyaluronic acid.. now down to 2 per day and 1/2 tsp to 1 tbs of DMSO daily with distilled water on an empty stomach. I also sleep on an earthing/grounding sheet. That has really helped with my sore neck/shoulder. When I have a flare-up.. or some other 'injury', that is when I reach for the DMSO first, then shark cartilage and then the castor oil packs. Remember, your body is always fighting to get well. It is our job to support it with supplements or other things that can help the pain and healing.. then 'get out of our body's way' by eating properly and avoiding toxins. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ------------------------------------- > ** > > > I seemed to have misplaced your nice long reply to me where you mentioned > higher doses of shark cartlidge.... > > > My hip replacement is basically OK, not the greatest epxiernece for me, > I start today with PT for the nerve damage and IT band strain.... > > > My biggest issue is Spinal Stenosis and spondylothesis, which was all > there before surgery and all now worse...shifting, settling of everything > with new parts.... > > > The last thing I want is to go back in there and Open Things Up....yikes > yikes... > > Could you re-send that nice long note to me... > > I have used serrapaptese before but just bought some serrazimes and giving > that a try....I don't know if there is help for Spinal Stenosis....joyce. > > > ________________________________ > > To: DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO > Sent: Monday, May 28, 2012 2:25 PM > Subject: Re: Can DMSO cause stomach irritation? > > Hi, Mara.
