Hi Georgiana,

>Just  wondering if there might be anything without major surgery and having to

loose  all the

teeth.<

It isn't a curative, but I've had good results holding a couple of tablespoons

of DMSO in my mouth and swishing it around. I keep this up for about 15 minutes.

It seems to help me, but I don't know if it would work on an infection in the

jawbone itself.

You might want to try it. It might buy you a little time.

I have successfully gotten rid of a below the gum infection by using a mixture

of the following: olive oil with a a few drops of oil of oregano oil (3 or 4)

and a few drops of DMSO. You have to experiment to see how much O of O you can

tolerate as it can burn. So start low and then add. I applied the mixture with

a q tip onto the gum area where the infection was. 3 times a day should do it.

hope this helps.

Good post. A good preventative is to use hydrogen peroxide daily. I

usually do that after using my water pik. Just swish a tiny bit of it

around and let it fizz a bit, then follow up with mouthwash and water

rinse. I have a problem area with receding gum and some bone loss.

Never has gotten infected, but I never miss a day either. I usually

really use it twice a day. (55 cents a pint at Big Lots)

Hi Gerry,

I used to use peroxide daily, but my ND told me that daily use wasn't

good--something about peroxide being hard on the tissues if used daily. He

recommended doing it only a couple of times a week. So now I rinse with and

herbal mixture and only do the peroxide once or twice a week.

I use the regular Spry mouthwash and H2O2 to it, and also use H202 off and on

thru the week.

Likely he is right. I should dial it back somewhat.
