Missy, I have been a patient of Dr. Shoemaker's since Dec. 2003 and can't

say enough good things about him or his office staff. . After my exposure I felt

like I was dying. I am doing so much better now. I will never be 100% but I

am 100% better than I was. I stay home a lot and avoid any place I know that

is bad for me. I also have the MCS which is very difficult to control when I

go out. I am thankful for the no smoking band in land but still just

standing in line next to someone wearing perfume/cologne makes me sick. It's

difficult but I do pretty well.I get tired easily if I do too much in a day,

have

short term memory issues but all other symptoms are gone. I still take CSM

(maintenance dose) and some other meds and do the best I can. How far away

are you from Pocomoke?

I am considering a trip down to land to see Dr Shoemaker. I was

exposed to several molds at work from 05-06 and while I am thankfully

back at work (new job) after a year of being in bed most of the time

and feeling relatively better than I did (although have permanent

respiratory damage, Multiple chem sensitivity and hypersensitivy

pneumonitis) as a result of this fiasco. I definitely deal with these

issues on a daily basis...and it is frustrating and inconvenient. I'm

wondering if anything Dr Shoemaker does is worth going to MD for - I

don't have money for this but will find a way if it is worth the

visit. Does anyone have any experiences with him and his staff? How

did it help? Or did it help?

Missy, I second what Sue says. I know it has been a long hard road but there

are no complaints about his care. I have been seeing him since 06. Two visits. I

cannot say that I am better or getting better but my case is a little different

maybe. I am stuck in the middle aftre running out of money to do all that is

needed to be done. But for sure his initial tests will give you a very good

picture of what is going on in your body and he will take the time to explain it

all. He is a little frustraited at this point with me because I cannot get yet

another test done but I cannot say anything bad about his practice. His staff is

awsome. If you can afford to see him, by all means I say see him. Not a penny

has been wasted and not for him I would still be spinning around in circles.

Not to take away from the group here. This is a group of great people and an

endless source of information. Your on the right track, keep truckin. I also am

willing to answer any questions you may have. Good luck.

Missy: Dr. Shoemaker is not only one of the country's leading medical expert and

treating physicians, but has my complete faith and trust in his quality and

integrity. You definitely are in " outstanding hands " if you are his patient.
